Hawkesmill Nurseries looks to future with new glasshouse

With one eye firmly on an expanding future, Warwickshire-based family run business Hawkesmill Nurseries, has been busy with the construction of its brand new glasshouse this year.

This July saw the concept of this project become a reality, as the one hectare glasshouse started to grow on the substantial allocated site at the nursery. Now the glasshouse is almost finished and will be by the end of the year.

Due to the ever-growing demand for the over 1,200 varieties of plants that the team grow every year, the glasshouse will ensure that Hawkesmill Nurseries have a quality production area with an even bigger capacity.

Hawkesmill sales director Richard Evans commented: “This high quality production facility will give the Hawkesmill team far more flexibility in production methods and timings, especially enabling more crops to be ready for the early spring season.

“We are looking forward to a 2019 that will be abundant with even more varieties of perennials, wildflowers, herbs, grasses, ferns, veg and strawberries.”
