Glee 2014 rebookings way ahead of plan

More than 56% of Glee’s overall floorspace has already been booked up – a significant increase year-on-year.

Leading brands from across the core garden retailing sectors have been quick to confirm their attendance at the 2014 show; with many companies booking even bigger stand spaces in order to maximise their visibility.

Key garden care and machinery companies already signed up for Glee 2014 include Handy Distribution, Westlands, Bosmere, Vitax, Smart Solar, Mr. Fothergill’s Seeds, Burgon & Ball, Garland, Fallen Fruits, Lechuza, E.P.Barrus, Wolfgarten and Scheurich.  Kaemingk is just one of the companies to have doubled its exhibition space at next year’s show.

Key names confirmed from the landscape and garden décor industry include Kelkay, Woodlodge, Deco-Pak, Apta, Forest Garden, Vivid Arts, Zest for Leisure, Hamac, and Hutton Garden Products.   In addition, leisure brands such as Benross, Bellagio UK, and Bespoke Leisure, will be joined by the likes of outdoor clothing favourites, Regatta, retail display experts, Stagecraft, and specialist design and business consultants, Pleydell Smithyman – just some of the expanding list of names set to harness Glee 2014 as a launch pad for their 2015 ranges and services.

i2i’s Matthew Mein, event manager at Glee commented on the exceptionally strong response to the 2014 show.  He said: “It is fantastic to be able to report such positive rebooking figures, not only as it demonstrates confidence in Glee and what its revised platform can offer, but also what this means for the industry as whole.  56% of the overall floorplan has already been reserved – far exceeding expectation, with more key names expected to follow in the coming weeks.  Suppliers who have not yet booked their place at Glee 2014 should contact us very soon to avoid missing out.”

He continued:  “One of the main aspects driving exhibitors to the 2014 show is the revised layout which allows for fresh thinking and new ideas.  Many companies have already remarked that Glee 2014 is enabling them to rethink everything from their exhibition space and design, to how they promote their presence and also the products they’ll have on display.  It is an exciting prospect.  Next year’s show will be extremely different to any previous Glee, in terms of layout, atmosphere and exhibitor showcases. I look forward to watching the show develop even further over the coming months.”

Glee – organised by i2i Events Group – is the UK’s leading garden trade buying event, and the only one to bring the whole industry together under one roof.  Built on the themes of ‘Discover, Network, Grow’, Glee 2014 will be the 40th successful year for the show.  In 2014 Glee enters a new era as it moves to a new location within the NEC’s Halls 17 – 20; creating a host of fresh indoor and outdoor exhibiting, feature and visitor opportunities that meet the buying and selling needs of the modern garden retail industry.
