Wyevale Nurseries’ National Plant Show stand to be 100% new plants

The Wyevale Nurseries’ stand at the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) National Plant Show this month (June 21 and 22) will be all about its new plants this year, the company has announced.

Following the appointment of Ben Gregory as new products development manager, the nursery has been fully focused on bringing new and innovative plants to market, Wyevale Nurseries adds.

Geranium ‘Purple Ghost’ - Wyevale NurseriesWyevale Nurseries sales and marketing director Adam Dunnett said: “At the National Plant Show in 2015 we walked away with the prestigious Best Stand in Show Award with our inspirational ‘Inside Out’ stand; this year the stand is all about our new plants.

“With 37 new plant promotions and a host of trial plants to launch we have no room on our stand for anything else. There will be a dramatic display of the new introductions to our promotional offering for 2017 and an insight into products in development for 2018.”

He continued: “Two new plants which will be at our stand at the show will be Geranium ‘Purple Ghost’ and Antirrhinum ‘Pretty in Pink’. The Geranium is dark purple and has feathery foliage, which provides the perfect foil for the ghostly lilac tinted white flowers. It is a gorgeous little promotional plant worthy of a spot in the border or in a container, where it will flower all summer long.

“The Antirrhinum ‘Pretty in Pink’ is an outstanding new perennial with bright pink tubular flowers. It will flower all summer long until the first frosts. Hardy to -6 degrees C. Antirrhinum ‘Pretty in Pink’ is attractive to butterflies and bees and was included in Chelsea’s Top 20 Plants of the Year for 2016.”
