Sweet spot prices snowball orders at RKW

RKW Vac Haul v3  Ho, ho ho! Summer may have long gone but the sound of reindeers is already in the distance for employees busy packing parcels for ‘Santa’s sleigh’ at a new 20 million pound state-of-the-art global warehouse in the Midlands.

Thousands of Christmas products such as fan heaters, oil radiators, electric fires, floor cleaning products, pressure washers, small domestic appliances and houseware products are  ready to be delivered at RKW – who are Europe’s leading distributor of electrical and housewares products.

RKW who are based in Stoke-on-Trent, distribute over 3000 product lines and hold many millions worth of stock, ready for immediate delivery. Major brands distributed by RKW include Pifco, Vax, Dirt Devil, Warmnite, Tower, Morphy Richards and Akai.

Stock is packed to the rafters at the new 250,000 sq ft distribution centre based in Stone and has over 35,000 pallet spaces. The distribution centre employs around 250 people and is one of the most advanced in the country. RKW’s UK and overseas customers include high-street independents, chains, department stores, superstores and multiple household names in e-tailing such as eBay, Amazon and Argos. Some products won’t even make it on to the retailer’s shelves because RKW, who are part of the Sutton Venture Group, operates an extensive Drop Shipping service that is now fundamentally routed into its client/customer operations. Drop shipment means the fulfillment of a consumer order without the retailer having to stock the item.

RKW’s massive success story isn’t just down to its slick logistics – the company offers attractive sweet spot prices which allow retailers to make even bigger profits due to greater margins.

RKW’s UK and overseas drop shipment facility not only saves retailers money on overhead costs by not having to purchase or store multiple items to keep in stock, it also eliminates the possibility of losing margin on overstocked items and saves significant amounts of time and funds on packing and shipping items.

Our trade customers order products on-line, RKW packaging, labeling and delivering the products directly to the customer – including a next day service. RKW introduced the drop shipment service in 2012 but this Christmas will be different says Operation Director, Dan Pass, as it will be run from the firm’s much bigger central global distribution centre which opened in the spring.

“Christmas is a great time of year but it can also be stressful time for many independents. RKW can handle any order and deliver it out in double quick time,” says Mr Pass. “Our drop shipment service will help make 2014 hassle-free and prosperous for retailers.”

Retailers can register their interest by calling RKW sales on 0844 8269361 for stock and delivery information or via e-mail at sales@rkw.co. Further details at www.rkwltd.co.uk
