Solex quick response to exhibitors’ request

SOLEX exhibitors agreed the first show was an outstanding success and commented on the quality of the visitors and the lack of “timewasters”. Exhibitors suggested that the old fashioned idea of Sunday opening should be consigned to history. For 2009 the new dates for SOLEX will be Monday July 13th to Wednesday July 15th. The Telford International Centre will continue to be the venue after commanding an overwhelming vote of approval from exhibitors and visitors alike.
“The success of SOLEX showed LOFA members that the bold decision to run its own show two months earlier than Glee was completely vindicated.” said LOFA Chairman Eric Hopper.
“Everyone connected with the show can be rightfully proud of its debut. The little extras, such as the free lunches and free drinks refreshments throughout the day, set SOLEX apart and has left the LOFA Council with the happy problem of looking how to expand the show to meet exhibitors demands for more space and the expected new enquiries for space in 2009.”
Visitors were also happy with the easy parking, walking distance from the show. A number also commented on the friendly, relaxed atmosphere giving them ample time to sit down with exhibitors to explore the new products in great detail.
Richard Plowman, Secretary of LOFA and SOLEX show organiser, gathered some complimentary feed-back. “Visitor reaction to the show has been overwhelmingly good. We are so relieved that the new earlier dates have worked for both buyers and exhibitors and the venue has been a great hit. Certainly the staff at Telford Exhibition Centre all helped create a relaxed and can-do atmosphere where it was a delight for everyone to do serious business, without worrying about niggling problems.”
Richard is happy to share a dozen or more quotes from happy visitors, but says that they are all summed up by the e-mail he has received from Anthony Rash, a Director of The Gardens Group. “On behalf of The Gardens Group, may we thank-you for the SOLEX Show. We spent three days at the show and found from the hotel booking, to and from the halls, drinks, food all excellent. The show allowed us to spend more time with the exhibitors than we would normally have given ourselves – everything in a relaxed environment. Congratulations and again many thanks.”
