Pacific Nurseries wins Garden Centre Association award

At an awards ceremony in Stratford, on Tuesday July 21st, Streetly-based Pacific Nurseries was awarded with ‘Most Improved Garden Centre’ and a Certificate of Merit from the Garden Centre Association.

The GCA represents over 200 garden centres and, through its inspection programme, helps to encourage high standards in customer service, plant quality and reliability.

“We were inspected last year and did rather well” explained Peter Beharrell, director of Pacific Nurseries. “However, the GCA gave us invaluable advice that we followed diligently – resulting in this fantastic award of which we’re all very proud”.

Iain Wylie, Chief Executive of the GCA, said: “Our regional awards evening was a huge success and it was great to see all of the lucky winners receiving their prizes. It is a testament to all of the hard work and effort they put in. The award for the Most Improved Centre was awarded to Pacific Nurseries, a relatively new member of the association.”

Pacific Nurseries is a family owned plant nursery that has been established in Streetly for almost 40 years. Peter Beharrell manages the retail plant, café and farm shop business and his brother Tom Beharrell takes care of the plant growing nursery that supplies Pacific and almost 100 other garden centres in the UK.
