Glee Petindex’s International Buyers’ Centre to host buyers from around the world

Pet product buyers from around the world will be visiting Glee Petindex and a warm welcome awaits them in the International Buyers’ Centre. Located on Stand K2 in Hall 4 of the National Exhibition Centre, the Centre offers a wide range of business creating services to overseas buyers and British suppliers of pet, garden and leisure products.  The Federation of Garden and Leisure Manufacturers, comprising the PetQuip export association and the Gardenex export federation, are sponsoring and manning the Centre again this year.
Overseas buyers already attracted to the show as part of inward missions in which PetQuip and Gardenex are involved includes a leading pet wholesaler/distributor in the Czech Republic, a leading DIY retailer in the Baltic States, a garden centre buying group in Italy, and a leading Swiss distributor/garden centre retailer. An Estonian garden centre and two Czech mail order/internet companies that cover both garden and pet have also confirmed their attendance. Gardenex expects there to be other companies from these markets and that these will be joined by buyers from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, and Austria.  International attendance will be further strengthened by a large group of US independent garden centre representatives.
The services offered to buyers by PetQuip and Gardenex include providing information on UK suppliers, their product ranges and innovations and information on the UK market, help with sourcing new products and advice on the practical aspects of exporting and shipping.  Interpreter services, a private meeting room, free show catalogues, internet access, refreshments and cloakroom facilities are also available to bona-fide overseas buyers. The Centre also has an UKTI  information point.
The federation’s services are strengthened by the presence of commercial officers from a number of British embassies and consulates, who provide additional advice and assistance to overseas buyers and British exporters visiting the Centre.
