Big names in Garden Leisure confirm space at Glee 2012

One supplier that is already looking forward to September is Danish barbeque experts, Dancook.  2012 marks the first time that Dancook has exhibited at Glee in its own right since 2006.  This year the company will be showcasing its latest range of barbeques, including the kettle and box designed barbeques, as well as outdoor kitchen solutions and decorative bonfires.

Another company making its return to Glee 2012 is Flexiload.  With a UK based warehouse, Flexiload offers a unique proposition in that it can deliver small quantities of stock (minimum order of just £500) when it is needed most, helping retailers to meet peak seasonal demands.  Michael Walter of Flexiload said: ““Two years ago Flexiload was solely a container importer.  However to maximise on market conditions we set up ‘Flexicube’ a wholesale operation with a unique on line ordering system.  Now our warehouse is the garden centre’s warehouse.  There is no need to tie up cash and lose sales due to stock imbalances.  Our return to Glee is as a result of a phenomenally successful 2011 and we can clearly demonstrate with our new system and substantial stock holding in the UK with minimum orders of only £500 we can grow this important and high ticket item sector in garden centres.” Other companies that have confirmed their place at Glee 2012 include Norfolk Leisure, Suntime, Peter Smith Garden Furniture Ltd, Besp-oak, Hutton Garden Product and Premier Decorations.

Furniture and so much more!

Glee offers both leading garden furniture manufacturers, as well as a range of complementary garden leisure products the perfect platform to showcase their wares to a highly influential garden retail audience.  Offering garden retailers a solution to help maximise leisure time in the garden, this year’s Glee Garden Leisure category will be home to barbeque experts such as Grand Hall UK and Wolf Steel (UK) Ltd.

Garden heating solutions are also set to be big at Glee this year, with innovative fuel solutions from Straw Fuels, whilst more traditional styles of garden heating, such as chimineas will be showcased by leading brands such as La Hacienda.  Talking about Glee, La Hacienda’s director, Simon Goodwin, said: ““We’re really looking forward to being at Glee again this year.  For us Glee means having the opportunity to meet with our existing garden centre customers, as well as developing business in other areas.  In addition to the great networking opportunities, Glee is also our annual showcase for our new products, as well as new catalogues and price lists.  Innovation is key to success at Glee, and we always make sure we have plenty on offer.”

Nick Davison, Glee show director, added: “Glee is unique in that it offers unrivalled cross-over buying opportunities with other core garden products, perfect for creating add-on sales opportunities and building lifestyle concepts in-store.  This dedicated Garden Leisure category has really taken shape in recent weeks and looks set to be an exciting showcase of what’s on offer from the across the Garden Leisure industry. ”
