A late gift from Santa and Squire’s Garden Centres

Customers donated the substantial sum of money across Squire’s branches in the South East throughout the Christmas period. Donations were optional in return for a free of charge visit to see Santa in his Grotto, which also included a present.

Each of the centres that provided a free grotto, donated the funds raised to their nominated local charity of the year for 2013/2014, with the vast majority of centres raising well in excess of £1,000.

Customers were incredibly generous with their pounds and were pleased to see local well deserving charities benefiting from their donations.

“The grottos across our centres were incredibly popular and it was great to see our customers show their appreciation, by donating to our worthy causes” said Sarah Squire, Deputy Chairman at Squire’s.  “Our garden centre staff make their own choice when it comes to which charity to support each year and we certainly agree they all very much deserved the wonderful support shown by their local communities.”

In addition to donations to local charities, three Squire’s Centres held a brand new 4D Christmas experience for 2013 to which they donated an exclusive preview to friends and families of their chosen local charities.  The exclusive preview evening included a welcome drink, a first-look of the 4D experience and a visit to Santa in his toy workshop, which included a present!
